discussion on this topic but please confirm whether transit visa is required or not...

Any body know whether transit visa is required via Amsterdam...

The UK requires a transit visa for passport stamp but no plastic card. I would assume the same would apply for the Netherlands. Call the Dutch embassy/consulate to clarify.

Netherlands also require transit visa if you don't have the plastic card. I called the Dutch embassy recently. I would avoid europe as transit if possible.

Unless ofcourse you want to go through the trouble of getting the transit visa.

I don't think, you require transit visa from London or any european countries having passport stamped.

I travelled through London in the month of Jan/Feb'04 and they did security check and did not ask for Transit Visa. I read on britainusa.com that, if we have valid US return ticket, we don't need transit visa. While return, in Germany, a security officer asked me about green card stamp and no questions asked (since I didn't have physical green card).
