Hello to all,
I have been a US resident for quite some time now (+5years). My green card has expired and now Im in the process of renewing it. I heard from one of the INS officers, that I do not need to be fingerprinted b/c I recieved my card after my 14th B-day. My questions are:
1. Why dont I have to be fingerprinted?
2. Does the INS conduct a backround check with the FBI?
3. If I have a current criminal history such as, misdemeanors and/or endightments for a mayor crime, will this affect the renewal of my card?
Thanx for all the info on this subject.
