GC received but not back-dated!

It is a mistake. You should call uscis and let them know the mistake.

First of all , congratulations. Approval is a big relief. And yes, your GC has a mistake with its issue date. Congratulations with our approval! I understand your frustration - you must be an old-timer, like myself. Take it easy - fill out I-90 form and indicate that you request a replacement card due to the USCIS administrative error and you do not have to pay a fee. Good luck!
