GC question

I recently applied for the N400(naturalization) but it looks like me and my wife are going to be filing divorce before we'll get to the interview 5-6 months from now. This is both for N400 and I785(removal of the 2 year conditional residence status)

Does anyone know what to expect? Will I be able to appear by myself and get approved? If not, will I be able to live and work here while I will wait for the 5 year term required for a single person?

Thank you!

paul_111,
assuming that the I-751 has been mailed for you, then you wont be able to get even that removed because of the divorce under normal circumstances.. N 400 is out of question then...

Thank you for your answer!
I know N400 is out of the question. As far as the I785, we had a first interview in November and we were told that based on the information we gave the immigration officer, it wasn't enough to get us approved but we will be invited for a second interview sometime in 2004.
Since I am going to be divorced at that time, do I have chances to get it approved? If not, will I at least get employment authorization?

Thank you again!
