GC production after 485 approval procedure !!!

Guys, I have a feeling the way it works (Just my thoughts) is when IO approves cases he/she does number of those cases anyway. I mean ofcourse one IO deals with many cases at the same time & he/she probably waits to gather a lump sum numbers of approval before ordering those approved case's GC. IO just don't approve each case & jump on to the next process(GC order) for each approval individually but rather wait for some numbers than go ahead & process all those to the next level for GC production dept. Once again folks this is completely my thoughts.
I belive that's why we notice some receive their plastic week or two some even less than that & some like me, Nasrmobin still waiting close to a month but yet no signs of plastic. People who receives those quicky cause IO in charge of thier approvals perhaps approved more cases & gatherd those that way he/she can proceed those to GC production dept all together instead of one by one. Otherwise why this delay? Unless BIO needs to be completed after approval even in that scenario IO's don't need a month time to send an approved applicant the notice for BIO.
I was approved on Feb 9th & it's close to a month. Hopefully I should be receiving plastic very soon. I don't want to call that 1-800... cause it clearly says in my approval letter about 90 days time. So even I call they will simply reply your 90 days time has not yet passed so wait & call back if you still don't receive plastic by then. Therefore calling them would be simply a waste of time. Yes, about a temporary ID to prove my PR status I could go for a info-pass appointment as Wantmygcnow & Floyd said & get NP stamped but then again Nasrmobin's experience on that issue wasn't so positive.
Well lets keep fingers crossed & hopefully I don't have to go through this but receive my card soon. By the way as I mentioned earlier I sought Senator's intervention before my approval. I wrote him a thanks letter saying my case got approved & explained his office about the plastic thing that it's close to a month but yet not received where else others do that in a week or two. I asked Senator's help agiain.
Need all your prayer.
Atique.

You were told the waiting time is 90 days so you seeking senator's help to expedite receiving your GC may be useless. You just will have to wait, buddy. When they exceed the promise (90 days) then you can get angry. Of course some people will receive it in the first week, some after a month , some in the second month. They are not sending every GC all at the same time, which is why they gave you a timeframe of 90 days. You have approval; I wish you would RELAX a bit, man. You are a PR, period. If you need urgent travel, get your passport stamped as that is your right.

Clotty my brother I know what you are saying exactly. And I agree with you 100% that I am approved & in PR status now & ofcourse far better off than lot other forum members who are still waiting to come to my situation. But brother you'll feel the same that I'm going through ( ofcourse I don't want that to happen in your case but you receive yours within a week or even less) even after approval almost a month. I waited so long for this long awaiting approval process & now waiting scares me & frustrates me. All this time for 485 application pending I kept thinking when my time's going to be reality & now that I crossed that long deep ocean again wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bet you don't understand it but rather call me impatient but my brother it's something you won't realise unless you face that.
And you talking about getting PR stamped as my RIGHT. My brother as a PR nothing is right but previlage & that previledge could be taken away at anytime USCIS wants.
Writing another letter to Senator was mainly to thank him for his intervention & got the approval within a month due to his letter to USCIS regarding my case. I don't know how long I had to wait more if it was not him who kept me posted from time to time about USCIS's activity about my case. Than at the end at one point I just brought that issue about me not received my plastic yet but so many others usually do so very shortly after approval. Although I know that 90 days time frame & Senator is going to reply the same as you do exactly like wait !! And I'm waiting. Hopefully I don't have to wait much.
Good luck to your approval. Hopefully you all get approved soon.

I understand it just fine. So do no tell me what I would do if I were in your case. I am not you and I am telling you how *I* view things , hoping that what I say may help you out with your worries. And if I were in your shoes, I would NOT act like you so do not "bet" that I would. And I explained why. I worry only when there is a sound reason for me to worry about, not "somebody got it in a week, but I haven't got it in a month but yet they have said "wait for 90 days" . I am woooorried". If I am told to wait for 90 days and only 30 days have passed I have no good reason to worry about, period. Especially since I am already approved..... Your worry at THIS stage, at this time, IS unreasonable; you need to face it. Sure you are emotionally tired and want the damn thing in your hands asap, but you have to realize until those 90 days are up you do not have ANY logical reason to be worried that something is wrong with your case. Listen, you worrying about this resembles if I worried about not getting an approval while ND2005's are getting their approvals, because it is similar to your "others got it in a week" comment, but you do not see me going "why oh why" about it.

What I am perplexed about is why you are soooooo worried(this is not the first post I read from you about it so you do seem VERY worried ) as if your GC aproval will be taken away from you. Were you approved? yes. Are youa PR? yes. Did they tell you to wait for 90 days? yes. Are you all worried after 30 days? yes. Sorry, but your impatience at this point is merely impatience. Frankly if I were in your position, I would not worry by any means as I know that I am a PR and that IS the bottom line. It seems you have aleady forgotten the anguish you had to endure while waiting to be approved, the waiting in the unknown. Now you are not in that territiory. You ARE approved. Do you worry that it will be "taken away" before you receive your GC? Because it is highly unlikely; the possibilities of "oops, we made a mistake" is very slim. And when I said it is your RIGHT, I meant (clearly) the fact that you are entitled to get a stamp on your passport as it is your RIGHT (not just privilege but RIGHT as the law allows you to do that) once you are approved. For instance my GC application has not been approved yet so obviously it is NOT my right to get that stamp on my NP, but by law it is your RIGHT to have that stamp if you wish so. To be able to apply for asylum is a privilige; to get a stamp on your passport after you are approved GC is a RIGHT. There is a difference.

And as for worrying that it all can be taken away from you, with that logic you shoudl keep on worrying with the SAME degree , not any less, once you get that plastic card. You are as safe now as you will be when you get your GC in your hands. If you feel unsafe, you should feel exactly the same amount of unsafeness once you get your GC. If a situation comes that your GC is in danger then your asylum is in danger as well and it would happen regardless of whetehr you have the GC in your hands or not. So you saying how it is a privilege should be another reason why you should not feel so worried about having the GC in your hands before the time that they gave you to wait is up. What you said about it being provilege actually serves my point.

So yeah, with all due respect you ARE being unnecesarily impatient . I am trying to give you a realistic perspective and I hope you take it as such and give your worries a break for your own good. By the time the 90 days comes near and you have not received anything, then in that case I will worry with you for you, but until then you have NO reason to worry about and I wish you could just relax. You have been so tense (as we all are) while waiting for the approval, now let that tenseness go away a bit with teh knowldgee that you are approved.

I am not a "brother" by the way. I am female. ;)

Peace and...for your own sake just try to relax a bit until the 90 days limit comes close. And after the 88th day and you still have not received it, then I WILL feel for your worry.

PS: I know I wrote long but I hope you will read every word of it despite it being long, before you hit the reply button. Thnx.

OOPS!!! Sorry that I called you brother. I thought you are a guy. Hope my apology is excepted.
Thanks for your response Clotty. I agree with you about me being impatient & that shows but our whole process ( From asylum application till 485 approval) is such a long process that it's hard for people to be patient. For me 13 yrs. Well, may be others could be even worse.
But anyway as you said I'm approved & in PR status now. So DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY !!!!

Atique, good luck; hope you receive it soon. And also maybe you may want to tell your postman that you are waiting for a very important letter. I would be a bit worried for it being misdelivered, especially if you live in an apartment complex.

Thanks Clotty, No I live in a house that I have been in since July, 2000. I filed my I485 application after I bought this house back in 2000 & since then I never missed a single letter from USCIS. So far I received many FP notices, RFI, RFE & finally approval letter. So I belive I'm fine with this. That's another reason allthough my wife is almost killing me to sell this house & get a better one but I kept saying her to wait till I receive my plastic cause I hate to change my address at this point. Changing address cause severe problems with USCIS matters at times.
By the way clotty that's another reason I'm so impatient about my plastic cause sooner I get my card I can start planning on buying my new home & save my life being killed by my wife. See you know my problem now why I'm so desparate about it. Just joking !!!
