My husband and I have a GC problem right now.
Our case like this. My husband applied NIW and got approval on Dec 2001 in Maryland. We filed I-485 on Jan 2002 in MD. At Nov 2002, my husband found a job at New Jersey and we moved. We filed a change of address document after we moved. On Aug 2003, we got notice from our old address in MD that our case had been transfered to Baltimore, MD and requested an interview on Jan 2004. Yesterday, Jan 22, we went to Baltimore and the officer old us since you already moved to NJ, she had to transfer our case to Newark,NJ.
Dose anyone had this kind of situation? How long this transfer processing?
Currently, our problem is (1)my husband found a new job in California recently, he already moved but I still live in NJ and will stay for a while. If we schedule a interview in Newark, whether our case will be transfered to CA if we still keep our home at NJ? (2) My husband had a H-1b before, but started to use the EAD after we moved to NJ. Right now, our EAD will expired on March. Since our case are being transfered, it will be late for us to apply EAD in Newark. What should we do? Whether my husband can ask his company to file H-1b now? (3) We are going to renew the EAD anyway, which way is quick, the E-File or the paper file?
