GC plastic card

It depends on the center. Mine came from Lincoln Nebraska in a plain white evelope with no distinguishing marks and also for others info it NEVER said anything on it about not forwarding to a new address.

How did you know that card has been ordered? Is it the online message?

Also, did they change the message on 07/22/05, mentioning that your card has been mailed?

Right now my online status says:

On August XX, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.
 
Mine was EB-3 and yes they updated to say the card was ordered, and then again the card was mailed.

Finally I got it today.

Interview Date : 08/30/2005(I-551 stamp received)
Received email on 08/31/2005, that after approving my application they ordered me a new card and it will be mailed as soon as it is ready.

After that no status update or email. But finally I got GC and approval letter today.

Journey is over atleast for 2 Yr and 9 months till I apply for US citizenship.
