I am a GC holder. My wife is on F-1 Visa doing her Phd. She is switching school so we can be together. Her original visa expires may 2005. The phd program in new school might take couple of yrs. Here are my questions:
1.Is visa extension absolutely necessary if we don't plan to travel outside? Is it suuficient to have a valid I-20 and I-94.
2. If she needs visa extension, what is the process? can she apply without leaving usa?
