Thought I would reply to this in a new thread, so that folks could have thread to discuss "contacting senators".
I think you should definitely contact a senator (just so that you feel that you have done evth from your side), but I really dont know or think if they can help. There may be exceptions to the case, and there were some posting a while back saying that INS may get annoyed when contacted by senator's office.
Though I had contacted a senator , I was not hoping for any miracles.
