I am interested to know if anybody has got a GC while not working for the company which applied for it.

I was with company A and started LC. Due to bad market situations I took up a new job with company B(H1 transfer). Now my LC with company A has been approved. Company A has no problem in continuing my GC, though I am not working for them.

When am I expected to join company A - what stage ?
If GC is for future employment is it sufficient to join company A after I get GC, the final approval.
Any rules stating how soon I should join from the date of issue of GC ? Can anybody throw some light on this ?
Anybody on the same boat ?

you are correct, there is no problem in continuing the gc with the other employer, as u said the gc is for future job, as far as i know you dont even have to work for ur employeer who filed ur gc when he relives u legally, but is always advisable to work with the same company for a while (atleast 3 months) so that when u file for a citizenship there wont be any problem.
