I am GC holder with Indian citizenship and I am planning to get married.

1) What are my options to bring my spouse to USA, if the spouse is a French citizen living in India?

Thanks a lot.

JoeF,
I respect your enthusiasm for giving advice to others in this forum. I just have one question: In reality, has anyone heard of any employer actually going ahead with revoking its employee’s GC? Probably not, why? It’s all about common sense.

Many companies (including mine) has its employees sign a contract saying that the employees are responsible for certain amount of the legal fee involved for the who GC process if they choose to leave the company within a ceratin amout of time (usually less than 3 years). Basically, it doesn’t make sense for an employer to try to revoke the GC because they will have to spend all the money(retaining a lawyer), time, and energy to deal with BCIS to take away the GC. And for what? The employees have left the company already. They’d rather just get their money back than spending more money, right?

You are talking about common sense when dishing out the “six-month” rule. And I hope that you agree the reason I gave above is common sense as well.

cheers
