GC for spouse: Urgent

Thanksgiving

Registered Users (C)
My Green Card was approved last August. I applied for it almost 8 months ago (NIW). I was married at that time and I included my wife's name on the application.

My wife is visiting me now on B2 status that will expire in March 2006. I wonder if it would be possible to adjust her status while she is in the U.S. by filing I-485 only, i.e. no need to file I-131 since we were married when I applied for the Green Card. If yes, which location should I send the package to? is it the district office /local office or Chicago. BTW, my NIW package went to Calfornia Service Center. If no, what other options do I have, for example Follow to Join... etc. Please help.

Happy Thanksgiving

You will like to go to www.uscis.gov for more information on follow to join, there are some factor that you must have so you can apply for follow to join. Your green card was based in what? (immediate relative of USC, employment, DV, etc.)
In general the only people that can adjust status is the one who doesn't have to wait for a visa number like the immediate relative of USC or those that already have an approve petition for alien relative but their priority date is current.

Good luck,
