GC for parents, questions on time frame.

Hello,

I am a US citizen and have applied for their green cards Apr 2004. TX service center is currently processing the I-130s for Jul 2003. So I am assuming their turn will be next year around Sep. The question is -
How long does the entire step takes once they start processing the paperwork? I know that after the INS approves the 130, they will need to go for the interview and stuff, but approximately how long does the entire process takes?
My parents come to the US about once a year and have 10yr visa which are expiring 2007. Can they visit me while their green cards are processing?
