GC for my wife and other Q's...

Hi,
I got my GC on July 11th 2001(India). I have the following questions:
1. What is the earliest date I can file for my Citizenship?
2. I just got married and my wife is on a H-1B visa. When can I apply for her GC? Could I apply for her GC along with my Citizenship application? What's the procedure?
3. I would like to start a company. Could I sponsor a H-1 for my wife thru my company? If so, what's the procedure?

I don't know what other information you might need in order to answer my questions... but please respond.

Thanks
GothamCity.

1. Up to 90 days prior to the 5th anniversary from your green card approval date (July 11, 2001)... so to be safe you can apply in late April 2006.

2. If your wife can stay on H1-B until you become a citizen, i.e. take oath, then apply for her green on the day after you become a citizen. This will be faster than applying now while you are on the green card and then try to update her application again when you become citizen. There are more opportunities for paperwork screw ups and no chance of getting her green card sooner.

3. Yes, you can, but will have to follow strict labor and immigration laws. You will need the help of a good immigration attorney, even then it would not appear good to sponsor your wife for a job and it will attract quite a bit of scruitny.
