Hi Everybody
My sister is an US citizen and filed an I 130 (IR) for our mother, who is in India. My sister filed from CA center. It was filed in Oct 2002. On MArch 24 we got a request for evidence for additional birh certificate evidence for our mother. We had submitted a birth certificate, but the BCIS needs an affidavit of support certfying that this is her bc from I guess the local bc generating body (corporation?). Does anybody on this forum know what additional evidence is needed? There wasn't any official bc's when my mother was born.
Also, would my mother have to go to an US consulate in India--Mumbai or Chennai, for a green card interview, or will her passport be stamped at the US port of entry?
