GC for Mother but US Citizen living in Canada temporarily

I am an US Citizen and like to sponsor a Greencard for my mother (Indian citizen) as my brother has moved to the US. But I am on a 3 year temporary assignment for work in Toronto, Canada. In the Affidavit of Support, it says the sponsor has to live in the US unless he/she is outside the US temporarily.

I currently maintain my ties with US and still have my bank account, credit card, cell phone, etc in the US active and have an US address.

Am I eligible to sponsor the GC for my Mother.
