GC for a brother... timeline question

Hi,

My sister recently got US citizenship, if she applies for my GC I want to know how long will it take for me to get my GC. She lives in Texas, hence the application will be sent to USCIS Texas Service Center, Mesquite, TX.

I am currently on H1 and my labor certification application is in Philly BEC, with PD July 2003, EB2 category from Maryland. I want to check if it is better to wait it out for EB GC or family-based GC.

To be eligible to adjust status as a brother of a USC, you will have to wait for 16 years. (That is if you're not from India, Mexico, or Philippines, in which case you will have to wait an additional 1, 2, or 11 years respectively.)

I don't know about the employment based GC, but I doubt it's slower than 16 years.
