GC filed seperately

My wife and me are both on H1B visa. We have both applied green card separately through our companies (different companies). May labor has just been cleared and I want to file my I-140,I-485 , EAD, Travel documents concurrently. My wife's labor is still not cleared. How far can we go without disturbing my wife's process? I guess at one stage we will have to merge and give up on one of the processes (either hers or mine) and continue with just one. Can you let me know which stage that is? And what would you recommend we do?
 
Apply I-140 and 485 together now. Once your spouse labor is approved Keep it as insurance or somebody else can use it. Any way applying for I-140/I-485 (for both of you) will not affect spouse labor process/ GC process in any way.

So incase I loose my job or my GC gets rejected , can we continue with my wife's GC?
