Hello everyone,
First, I wish all of you are doing great and that your immigration problems are going through just fine.
As a person who doesn't know much about American law, I had a few questions. This is the story:
My fiance applied for political asylum in 2001. The same year, his status was approved by the INS. This January (January 2006), he received his green card.
1) How long (months/years) will it take for him to get the passport?
2) Does the time of processing depend on the state where the application was filed?
3) If I marry my fiance (I am on a B2 visa) now that he is a GC holder, how long would it take for me to get the GC?
4) What if he were a US citizen?
Thank you for your time and effort. Appreciate it and God bless you.
