GC date after namecheck is cleared

Hi,

I am curious to ask what is the effective date of your green card after long time waiting of namecheck clear? Say I have my I485 interview on 8/22/2007 and is pending namecheck now. If it gets cleared next year, the green card I receive will have date as 8/22/2007 or some date in 2008?

I believe it will be some date in 2008 (if it clears by then), as you are still not "officially approved" until your namecheck clears.
