Hello Gurus,

My I-485 was approved about 1 1/2 month back, but so far I have not received my I-485 approval letter and GC card both. Online message says "post office could not deliver it.." I called customer service about a month back, but nothing happened so far.

Then I requested a copy of I-485 approval from Lawyer. I got that today.

Here is what I need your input for:

(1)
I am planning to Visit India 1st week of next month, so was thinking of taking info-pass apointment so that my passport can be stamped.

So I was wondering will infopass guys accept Lawyer's copy of I-485 approval letter to stamp my passport?

(2)
Also I will appreciate if someone could post process and his/her experience about passport stamping inluding what all documents they expect me to bring in?

FYI I am in CSC (sacramento).

Thanks for your input.

If any one have passport stamping experience or, information about passport stamping please post their experiance. It would help me. Thanks in advance.

From what I read in this forum, they dont do stamping any more.

U have no choice but to wait for the cards.

HarKad, Thanks for reply.

Can you please send me some links/URLS where you saw this info.

I talked to my lawyer today, she said I can take info pass appointment and they should do the stamping based on I-485 approval letter.

Thansk HaraKad, I am trying to get in touch with him. I appreciate your help.

Just wanted to update that I visited USCIS office (infopass) and they stamped my passport.

Since I was not sure what all document to take along, I took all types of docs taht I thought would make sense. But he asked me only I-485 approval letter.

I hope this info will be useful to someone.

I just saw the question.
No you do not need photos. Just need I-485 approval notice and passport. They will stamp it for you. In general if everythignis fine you shoudl get your cards in mail. With me I have not gotten cards since address is probably not right.

Thanks Mp1. Just got the actual card itself by mail. thx again.

so, i guess don't need to go for stamping.
