Has any one got their GC approved when abroad?
I have a AP and need to go to India urgently.
My RD is Sept 01 so it may get approved in my absence.
Can I come back on my AP?
Thanks in advance for relevant replies.

NO problem with that.

I know a similar case,
This person wasetraveling nt H1 to India,

He was in India when he got approved. For Due to medical emergency, stayed in India for few months.
He knew that he is approved while entering back but didn't mention it to the Officer.

HAVE A COPY OF YOUR AP

In some airports (in Frankfurt for example) authorities require to retain a copy of one of the advance paroles. If you don't have one, they will take the original document from you. Otherwise you won't get on the plane.

So have a copy with you - believe it or not, they refused to make a copy of it themselves.

Hello,
I was in India when my GC was approved (about a month back). I got in with my AP. During immigration, they didn't ask me about the approval and hence I didn't say anything.

I travelled via Frankfurt and no one asked me for AP copies. Maybe mine was an isolated case.

Maybe you had valid visa in your passport?

That happened to me 2 weeks ago. I remember somebody else posted similar information about Frankfurt. That time I didn't take it seriously, because couldn't imagine that in Frankfurt they don't have a xerox machine; but made a copy before travel, just to be on the safe side :-)
