I-485/I-130 approved as per USCIS.gov website. Waiting for green card.

I have been a regular visitor and reader in this forum. Your feedback and comments have helped me a lot. I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone here. If you have any questions on my I-130/I-485 applications, do not hesitate to ask.

Congratulations! This was fast (only 2 month).

1) The concurrent filing was to US Citizenship and Immigration service at Chicago. Is it correct? Why did they transfer your parents case to CSC on 9/22/2006 before approval?
2) Is it common to have no interview for parents GC?
3) Before launch the concurrent filing, I am sure your parents needed to go through medical check up. Did they ask them to do all the immunization shots or not necessary for old people?

Thanks

Thanks.

Yes I was surprised by the speed of USCIS. Nowadays approvals for USC parents are comoing very fast. Somebody posted details of case where approval was given in 49 days!

1. Concurrent filing was sent to Chicago lock box. They did intial processing and the application was then sent to NBC (national benefit center) in missouri. Normally NBC tranfers case to applicable DO for interview. Luckily, in my parents' cases, they waived the interview and tranferred the case to CSC since NSC and VSC are not processing these type of applications.

2. maybe more common in cases where parents are 65+. I am not really sure tho.

3. Yes complete medical check up was done. since my parents are 70 plus, not all shots were mandatory. They were given a few shots including pneumococal.

good luck to you.
