GC approved...outside country

I have a situation. My GC has been approved as of Oct 29. I currently don\'t have status in the US as I accepted a job in UK. I am currently on a work permit in UK. How do I get back into the US to get my GC stamped on my passport ? Will my not having status in the US be an issue ? I am not too sure if my previous employer has cancelled my H-1. Can the US consulate in London help me out ? My current employer is based in the US. They can always sponsor me an H-1 to enter the US again to get my GC stamped. Would that be a feasible option ( as far as legalities are concerned ? ) ?

Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

once you have GC approved , I am not sure if you can get H-1 which is non-immigrant.
 consult a good immigration lawyer.

 check if you can enter on GC approval notice.
 since your parent company is i US , you should not have problem, if you are still with them and have
 gone to UK on a project by them. It should also be the same company whoc sponsored your GC, i guess
 (unless you fit into 180 day rule). best way is to consult a good lawyer.

do you have EAD/AP. If you have advance Parole you can get into US and get your GC stamped and How many days back you went to Uk. If it is few months you can still enter without problem.
