My details:
Labor (RIR) RD 10/03, AD 05/04
I-140 RD 07/04, AD 02/05
I-485 RD 07/04, AD 02/07

I was stuck in namecheck. Wrote to a congressman and a senator from SC (worked there) in 2006, wrote to a congressman and a senator in MD in 01/07. Congressman came back with 'namecheck not complete', and senator called me after I received an e-mail from CRIS that my 485 was approved.

My personal opinion: if you don't want to wait a long time - try your luck in the court by filing Writ of Mandamus case (see numerous threads here).
Otherwise, CIS is working... slowly in some cases, but working.

I didn't file WOM case.
Both congressman and senator from SC have come back with the same e-mai l from FBI "namecheck is pending".

I am not 100% sure whether they have contacted TSC or FBI directly.

I know that MD congressman has contacted USCIS and got a response that namecheck is not complete. 2 weeks after that it got complete.

I don't think that any of that helped, but I may be mistaken.

One thing to mention: my first FP was done in July 2004 and the request to get the second FP came in December 2006. Now it looks like they have resumed working on my case then. Maybe namecheck was done in December and they mailed me a notice to do the second FP.

Congrats, buddy!!!
