GC Approved - Applications for EAD and AP pending

I have an interesting situation.

I had applied for my 3rd EAD and AP extensions on May 25, however I got the GC approvals on June 9, and my GC card also.

What happens to these pending EAD and AP applications? What happens to all the processing fees?
Do they get returned back to us?

Please let me know. My lawyer said initially (before I sent the apps) that USCIS will deny the apps. and return the fees, but now they are saying that I wont get any of the money back.

Can thsoe applications be withdrawn?

I wouldnt care much about this..but for me and my wife..the total fees add up to almost 700 dollars.

That's what happened with us too. I e-filed our AP on June 12 and paid with a credit card and got our GC approvals on June 19.. Just our luck. From what I was told, the minute they receive our application, that's already the start of processing. So, if anyone knows out there how I can get a refund or how to withdraw our application, please let me know too.
 
You don't get money back. Don't you think it too silly to think about this when you GC In your hand. I know it hard earned money BUT copare to GC for get all this enjoy your freedom man.
 
C'mon friend !!

How can you call someone else being Silly ? When we were in india, we had some desires. After that being fulfilled,were we satisfied?

If we are satisfied and never had any complaints, world would be a peaceful place.

I don't think they should be questioned about asking for their money back. If there is a way, they should certainly get it back !!

In the grand scheme of things yeah I guess it is silly to worry about 700 dollars..
and its good we have the GC atlast..but I dont beleive its silly to know the rules and find out. 700 dollars is still a decent amount of money to atleast find out whats going to happen to it...
We are not going to lose sleep over it..ofcourse.
