GC approved, A# changed, Help Needed

All gurus,

My wife and my GC have been approved on Oct. 8.

RD: 09/19/01
ND: 11/14/01
FP: 02/24/02
AD: 10/08/02

But my A# changed, it is different from the I-485 receipt and the
approval notice. Is there any problem for that? What should I pay
attention to why I go to the INS office to stamp my passport?

Rugrats,

I suggest you to call INS or contact your lawyer immediately before you get your stamping done as change of Alien number is not recommended.

In your stay from now on in this country for citizenship or whatever you will be referred by only Alien number and you dont want 2 people or more to have the same.
