Guys:

It is time for me to apply for my GC. I just wanted to ask someone what should I submit initially:

-I-485 duely filled and signed
- A copy of Asylum grant letter
-Fee

I am forgetting something?

G-325
Medical Form

That happens when they request evidence?

If I am on a trip can I schedule a my biometrics through infopass in a city other than my hometown?

Make sure to attached as much documents as you can.

Copy of I-94 with Asylum Granted Stamp

do you have EAD?? if so, add it to as well.
Copy of Driver License if possible.

i tell you this since , i was asked by BCIS to provide them with Photos of myself such as Driver License, Passport. Unreal but True.

Regards and good luck.

I realy don't think you should attache as much documents as possible. Limit your documents to what they ask for. You will find the list on the application. Immigration officers are not sharp, and when they see to much documents they may get confused and put your application aside.

You will not be able to schedule biometrics thru infopass. You will have to wait for them to send you a letter request. If by then you are not at your home town, you can reschedule with that letter, but you will have to wait until they request them.

My advice; limit your documents to what the application asks for.
Good luck

Neutron,

You should submit --

Form I-485
Form G-325A
INS Fee--$395 (filing Fee $325 + 70 Biometric fee)
Copy of Asylum Approval Letter
Copy Of I-94 card
Copy of Employment Authorization
4 Passport Photos

DON'T SUBMIT MEDICAL WITH UR INITIAL APPLICATION, WAIT TILL THEY ASK U FOR IT .

As far as the biometric appointment goes- am not sure if u can schedule it in a different hometown. But go ahead and submit ur I-485 application and wait for them to send u a biometric appointment. (you can reschedule a new appointment if u cann't make their appointment) Good luck.
