GC and Expired Work Permit

How would a petition for a GC be affected if the person for whom the petition is being made has been and still is working on an expired work permit. My best friend is in this situation. She is a former F1 student marrying her boyfriend of 4yrs who is a USC.

Mailed I-130, I-485 and I-765 beginning of Sept 05.
RD Sept 9th 2005
ND Sept 14th 2005
Fingerprint notices 10/20/05
FP and Biometrics done on 11/30/05 although they gave me two separate appointment dates for the I-765 and the I-485.
LUD on 12/02/05 about EAD approval
Received EAD on 12/7/05.
AOS interview on 03/08/06
GC APPROVED

Unauthorized employment is normally pardoned in such cases.

This person is better, admitting the illegal employment upfront and also must settle the score with the IRS. By filing past taxes in the event that they were "forgotten".

Believe it or not she files her taxes just like everyone else and collects her tax returns also. The IRS does not question your status as long as you are paying your taxes.
