Gathering Speed (about time it did!!)

This is in continuation to my posting the other day about my visit to the Congressman's office. BCIS had also told the Constituent Liaison person (CL from now on, since we oh so love acronyms here) that we would have to wait for 6-8 weeks for our second fingerprinting to be scheduled as there was no slot available locally (Ft. Wayne, IN). I had then asked the CL to call them back and see if they could schedule it for Indianapolis, IN, and followed it up with an e-mail to her requesting her to see if that could be done.

She e-mailed me back today to say that our fingerprinting has been scheduled now for 11/24/03 at Indy. Whatever happens from here on, I do think that I have probably been saved 3-6 months of waiting by that visit to the Congressman's office.

It works. I would recommend its use judiciously though, by those whose cases have been delayed unreasonably inordinately (is there something like a reasonable inordinate delay?? :)).

Will keep all you guys posted on the progress.

Why, that would be an oxymoron, of-course.;)

Good-luck.

P.S.: The title of your thread is no doubt inspired by the "grave and gathering threat...." speech of our first gentleman!
