Finally it is over for me and my wife...
My case (EB2-MA labor; VSC I-140 and I-485) was approved in Sept of last year. My wife's name check "fell through cracks" at FBI and VSC made a second request after our status enquiry with the 800 number. Finally, the name check was completed in March and the case was sitting at VSC "waiting for an officer to free up". Finally when we applied for her third :eek: EAD (last week) we got the emails within a week saying that the I-485 was approved! We were calling the VSC officers once a month and only based on the officers recommendation (i.e. they would tell us: call back in a month or so to check if the case has been assigned to an officer)...
Anyways, both me and my wife are very grateful to our fabulous immigration champion Mr. Rajiv Khanna and the rest of you guys who have provided valuable information (I have become an immigration "expert" myself after visiting this forum since the year 2000)

Let me be the first one to congratulate you. Being a Dec 02 filer too, I feel good about your approval. I got approved after interview on Feb 15th.

that's a great victory! looks like USCIS wanted a little "donation" from ya... :)

probably that's what they want from me too ? :confused:

My case seems to have gone thru the same issue, where after our inquiry, they sent in another request to the fbi for a namecheck.
How much time after the new request, did u get the approval, and did u have to do anything special, other than calling VSC to get the approval?

New namecheck request was in October and got cleared in March. I-485 got approved last week.
