Gap in h1b? Valid reasons?

Can there is a gap between the approval date of h1b and the date payroll was started. ?

I am talking about like a 20 days gap at the start.? Can we say personal leave /vacation etc or simply state that I took about 2 weeks time & strated at work only on such date?

Any pointers on how to state the same particularly for folks who compelte MS here and were on opt then got h1b.

one valid reason u can say is that the relocation time (packing stuff) finding an apt, getting the flight ticket etc took around 20 days. since u r MS u can also say, u had some final work at the univ like getting the transcripts clearing off the dues at the univ and so on. dont say things like vacation / sick leave. again this is just my opinion

I am think of the same relocation thing.
- that I was staying at a different place
- and I had to go back to 2 different place to get all my stuff (which is what i did)
-and move to a thrid palce. So I reported to work about 2 weeks later.
