Gap in employment and AC21

Hi Gururs,

I worked with my GC sponsor for 19 months after my I485 was filed. Now I want to join another empolyer and want to take time off for a month before joining. I'll not get paid for this month from both the employers. Is it ok to have gaps in employment for AC21?
 
Why dont you join the company right away and take leave without pay.

As far as I know, gap is no problem, but to be on safe side, take the employment and go on vacation without pay.
 
The other way putting Junior Memebers word is. If you have oofer letter which says that you joined from blah blah date which should be one day more then the resigning date(or pay date).
That would be excellent. But still my 2 cents. Even if u get RFE you just have to show them that currently you are employed and this the salary(as per LC (+-2% diff is ok).
 
Its better to join first and then take leave. Gap is no problem because what matters is your job at the time of interview. BTW, I'm also AC21 and had a very gap. I talked to Sheela Murthy and she said its okay as long as you have a job at the time of interview.
