My fellow Indians,

This is just to let you know guys that What Mr. Ganguly said last night on PBS NEWSHOUR with JIM LEHR. He said in an interview" There is a correction, India is not my country, I am in U.S. for 30 years and am an U.S. citizen". What kind of a traitor he is? He has Indian education(that really helped him to get here, become a faculty member at UT Austin), Indian color, family, and accent.
I am proud to be an Indian in U.S. I am here for 10 years, I love my country. One should not be ashamed of being an Indian. Tomorrow mr. Ganguly may say U.S. is not my country I am an afghani. Do you believe this kind of people.
Please send your coments to P.B.S.

Thanks

Rabi Tagore: I have to respond....

You cannot use inflammotory language like you did and expect that nobody will respond. Your comment about South Indians being anti India is bullcrap (pardon my language). The following are my comments:
1. If you have been paying attention to the CNBC, FOx ,CNN etc you would have seen that most folks defending India were South Indian NRIs( Former Editor of TOI etc being exmaples, there was another South Indian gentlemen on Chris Mathews show whose name I can\'t remember.)
There is nothing wrong in having Punjabi, Kannad associations. Even in the USA you have Latino, Chinese and African American associations.
2. Most scientists in the Indian nuclear and missile program are South Indians. You may not like it but it is true.
3. I have worked with many South Indians and they are very hard working ,level headed, mild mannered people who give education a great deal of importance. And it shows. TN, AP and Karnataka are one of the most progressive states in India. Can\'t say the same about Bihar, West bengal, UP etc.

Now regarding mr Ganguly\'s interview. I watched that interview and I thought it overall it was OK. The only part which raised my eyebrows were his choice of words " India is not my country anymore.." He probably was saying this to impress upon the fact that his opinions were unbiased.

But what also caught my attention was that you Mr Tagore were so infuriated that you resorted to name calling, rampant generalizations and blatant bigotry. Relax. Try to look at things objectively.

Cheers

SS

Its Ironic that person like Rabi Tagore speaks about unity

Do you have the habit of proof reading before you post?

One one hand you are talking about unity amongst indians and on the other you are talking about southies drinking sambar ...etc etc.. in an insulting way!

Are you under drugs or just another brainless idiot who has no point?

And about your comments reg some states as rogue states, good research!. That shows how many brain cells of yours are still working.
