I am a Canadian citizen and I will completing an unpaid internship in the US from November 2005 to April 2006. I will be in the US only for the January 2006 to April 2006 period because I am a student in Canada and the school semester does not end until December 2005.
The place where I will be interning has asked me to provide them with a G4 visa by November. I contacted the US consulate in Canada and they said I do not need a visa because I am a Canadian citizen and the internship is unpaid. I then contacted the internship place and they said that they need the G4 visa in order to grant me the internship.
Help! what is the proper procedure for me to follow
