I am on a dependant G4 Visa, currently working with a valid work permit (EAC). This year, a company filed H1 for me. Along with the H1 papers, I had to submit, I-566 - adjustment of status, selecting the option "changing from G4 to H1". Now my H1 is approved. However, the company which processed the H1, does not want to employ me or give any H1 papers (I-797, I-94) to me. Meanwhile, my existing work permit (EAC) is expiring, and I want to apply for renewal. Since, the H1 (I-797 and new I-94), have not been activated, can I apply for EAC renewal using my old I-94 and resubmit a I-566 selecting the option "applying for EAC as G4 spouse". Also, if I travel outside the country and come back, on the same (existing) valid G4, will the H1 get cancelled. Greatly appreciate your advise.
