G-325A Urgent Question

Friends,

I came to US in 1997 and prior to that I was in India.
There are two columns in form G-325A
one is
" Address for past five years, start with most recent"
Second is
"Address outside US"

I have added my indian address in second column.
Also I added the same Indian address (to complete five years)
in the column "Address for past five years, start with most recent"

My lawyer is mentioning that I cannot add Indian address in first
column since we cannot place FORIEGN address (India address) with
US address,
Also my lawyer is mentioning that if I place foreign address and US
address in same column I will get a REMAND for a correction.

Is it True?

please respond ASAP.

No Title

I have done the same. I have my foreign address in both the First and second column because it is within the 5 Years duration. Nowhere in the application does it say that first column is for US addresses only. In fact even in the First column they do ask for Country and city. So I think the lawyer is misguided ( Of course I cannot say for sure since my case has not been approved yet). Please see the instructions for form I-485 carefully. Take a second opinion.
