I am preparing I-485 and related forms. In the form G-325A, I listed my past addresses in the US and period I stayed there. There was about 5 months of period during which I moved back and forth between east and west coast to do research experiments. I maintained full-time student status and the work was related to my PhD research.
The problem is that I temporarily moved between my friends\' places during that time, so I am not sure how to accurately fill in the record (my tax filing was based on my previous address in the west coast).
Should the record be very accurate? If I just list the previous address before that period to avoid unnecessary hassle, would it cause a serious trouble later during interview or background check? I would like to know if they will contact all previous addresses and confirm my period of stay etc.
Please let me know how exactly I should write the address record.
