Applied EAD Renewal In Feb 2000, Received EAD Renewed around May 15th 2000.
FP Notice Received on around May 31st From Lawyer.
PD 1/22/96
RD 5/3/99
ND 6/2/99
FP Notice Date 5/23/2000
FP Scheduled On 6/17/2000 or within 3 months from this.
One thing to notice is, I was out of country for the past 2 months. So it looks like even if you are out of country the processing goes on, if the priority date is current.
When came back on Advance Parole. Since I had my daughter(US Citizen) I went into the Citizen/Permanent Resident line. The Officer looked at our (mine & wife) passport and put that in a blue cover and asked us to go to a room. (Some guys receive the red cover) There an officer accepted the cover and asked us to wait.
They called my wife first (Her last name is not mine) and asked whether I am her husband and asked her to show the EAD.
Then the officer called me asked to show the EAD. She said every thing is fine and we can proceed after stamping the entry in Passport for 1 year and in One of the AP copy.
It was easy. But one funny thing is, I still have all the copies of AP with me.
FINGER PRINT:
Went to Newark INS (Commerce St) on Saturday. There was not that much of crowd around 7AM (only 3 family). Waited till 8.
A Security officer came down and asked to show Appointment Notice
(orignial)
Ask to form a line inside the building
Gave a Form which asks your name, address, A#, DOB, SSN
Another person checked the Filled form and asked to shown an Photo Id
( We showed EAD some showed Licence)
She gave a token number
One came from FP room and called the number
Went to a Monitor after cleaing the hand
Asked to check the details entered by her
She took a) Indidividual fingers
b) Thumb
c) 4 fingers (excluding thumb)
Asked to fill a survey ( my wife went to a different lady and she did not ask her to do this)
Supervisor came to verify
Told every thing is fine
