Hi folks,

FYI: wife's EAD renewal application was mailed 5/05/04 - received by USCIS on 5/07/04 - approved on 7/09/04 (received e-mail). :)

Still waiting for any news on I485 - RD March 2003.

I guess EAD's and AP's are approved pretty quick these days. I got my EAD in 55 days and AP in 70 days. Both were paper filing.

So guys dont be scared by seeing the processing time on the receipt notice.

My wife has filed for EAD (not e-filing), and is still waiting since 4/30/2004. Based on the processing dates, they are processiong 4/15, so we still have a couple or more weeks. The message is saying 90-120 days.
Our files were touched on 6/15 (change of LUD but not the comment from day one), but nothing since then.
I am not sure if they are changing the dates because they are touching the case. What do you guys think?

diff between new ead and renewal

gvaknin,

My wife's EAD was a renewal - got approved quickly. I am transferring from H1 to EAD (H1 expires next year) and filed on the same day as my wife. I am still waiting for my EAD approval.

stillanalien, thanks for your response. Yep...same here. The attorney is saying not to worry because 90 days are by end of July. I asked if by then we could go to our local office and get a temp one until the official will come, her answer was that we could do it. My wife's H1B expires on 8/31. She used the visa stamped in her Passport to come and go. we will have to wait and see, I guess..

thanks again,

OK..here is an update fresh out of the USCIS oven (20 minutes old). My wife's EAD got approved today, 7/14 and a card was ordered for her.
EAD ND - 4/30/2004
EAD AD - 7/14/2004

estimated period per USCIS receipt: 90-120
total days in this case: 75

I hope it will triger something with our case....ND 1/9/2003

Good luck to all!!!!
