FYI and Namecheck status.

Just called the emergency number, the nice lady at the other end looked into our cases, gave me the following info:
- My name check is still pending , she did *not* use the words "detailed review"
- My wife's name check has cleared.
- She could not give a date on which my wife's name check cleared though.

FYI:
The nice lady at the other end of the line passed me the following info:
1) she mentioned was that previously they would not process a family pack if even a single name check was pending, but they have recently changed the way they work and therefore my wife (who is a dependent) might get her gc approved before me.

2) Though both applications are in a family pack, the name checks are done indivdually on a per case basis.

3) She asked me to wait atleast 3 more months

4) In order to submit a expedite request she told me that I have to have a very very very ( she really emphasised on *very*) good reason.

In short she was a very nice person and spoke without hesitation / reluctance unlike my prior experience at calling the emergency number.
 
dk I had a similar experience when i had called last month. they told me that my wife's name check had been cleared in Jan and mine was still pending. but they could not approve my wife as i was the primary applicant and my wife the derivative.

I can't think of any "good" reason for expedite request. Can anyone else? For an employment-based I-485 case, you can't give following reasons:
-- Employment unstable;
-- Need to travel overseas;
-- Need to change job.
 
She told me the exact opposite of your experience, check out point (1) in the FYI section of my original post on this thread.
