FYI: 485 approved for one of my collegues

Thought it would be useful to others if I post info.
about one of collegues whose I485 got approved
on 09/10/01.
PD. 01/2000
485 RD 04/2001
485 ND 04/2001
FP 08/10/2001 (done one month before the scheduled date in san jose ASC)
485 approved on 09/10/2001

Looks like CSC is approving cases filed in 04/2001. Guess
doing FP ahead of schedule is no problem but the approval has come
in his case after a month from the actual scheduled date.
Hoping to see more approvals in this forum.

BTW my RD/ND is 03/2001 and no approval yet. Hope it will
be soon.

This seems to be a proof for early FP case.

I guess that FP 08/10/2001 means FP scheduled on 08/10/2001, not taken on 08/10/2001 so it still doe

Yes "Small Nothing". You are right. The FP scheduled on 8/10 but
done around 7/10.
My personal feeling/theory is that even if you do FP ahead of schedule,
the CSC INS will open your case only after the actual scheduled
date. I may be wrong here. But doing FP ahead of schedule will
not have any negative effect on your I485 approval.
