Future employment Dilemma

I am currenlty working with Company "X"

Company “A” has applied for my GC (Labor Sub; PD; July 2001; Future employment). My 140 got approved recently and I am willing to join Company “A”.

Company “A” attorney says

“You don’t need to join the company before I-485 approval and don’t worry about any interviews/ interview questions (In case of interview). Don’t waste money on H1 transfer.”. She even said
“You don’t really need to work even after the approval, and it will not pose any problem during naturalization”.

Is this for real??

My lawyer says the same.

"At this point, your I-140 has been approved and more than 180 days has passed since that approval date. Therefore, pursuant to portability regs under AC21, you may work (before or after approval) for any other company in the same or similar position"
