Funny INS mess up story

Guy Below is the funnest INS mess up EVER.

Well here is a strange story for the INS hall of fame.

I have my I-485 with RD Nov 10th Receipt no MSX XXX XXX X63 and then the internet thing showed that I was mailed the receipt on Nov 10th.
Well ever thing was fine except that when my EAD was approved the post office sent it back. Humm… I had sent the Ar-11 and called them about the change of address. Then the web-site said they sent me a RFE.. never got that ..called .. they said they will send it again ..nope…

I went to the federal plaza INS center in NY today with Infopass. The officer was hey.. they put your house number as 220 instead 20… (no there more)…so I showed him the I-485 web site printout…. He was oh ya lets change that address too…then he was like ..hey wait a min… He said “ you no a 40 year old Haitian women “ you look more like a 20 something Indian guy.. I was like YA… he he….

He then gave me the correct MSC no which ended in XXX XXX X58… man…no RFE no nothing … It had a LUD of 12/11/05.. I guess my Code 3 fingerprint… damm..

Anyway, lesson of the story… If you don’t get a MSC number plz don’t assume it should be around the one on the back of the check. CONFIRM else you will be perusing someone else petitions.. man ..this is funny.

Also if anyone is wondering all my recipts I-13- and I 765 have ND of nov 10..

Well,
since we are at funny mess up stories... Not sure mine is that funny. I received a letter on New Year's Eve that my I485 app was closed adminstratively, because I am the subject of final removal (never got anything about it, plus i have been married to USC for almost ayear and all my apps are pedning on the web). My lawyer was gonna check it out. When he called some USCIS Port number and entered my alien digits, it was some Gomez guy's name. So, talking about mess-ups, I am not even sure where I stand now.

Ya that is pretty messed up.. well it better to laugh such INS messup or you will go crazy with all the stress and the WAITING..oh my god... that is killing. Also you will drive the spouse crazy with your whining..as I realized.. A person cannot understand the feeling unless you are in it.. so USC spouses really do not get why we are so worried.. I blow my steam whining on this board and try not to let the INS get under my skin....

So what happened did the INS correct your mistake?

Well there is a lesson to be learned form yours and my experience... always ask the INS agent if your bio on the 485 matches yours...
