Dear Friends,

I need your help to make a decision. Here is my situation:

I got my 140 approved through substitute labor in March 2007 and my PD is Feb 10, 2005 (EB2). Currently I am working as a consultant and end client is willing to hire me full time but they will file my labor after one year. They are willing to port my PD after one year but as per current CIR I do not know what will happen to porting rule. I was planning to join full time opportunity but all of a sudden dates moved in June bulletin and now its expected move further in coming months. So now I am in dilemma. What should I do? Should go ahead and take the full time opportunity or wait for PD to become current for me?

Please advice.

Are you from India?....I believe the movement in the visa dates is temporarry (as per Murthy Bulletin).....
You can wait till Jun 8th week or so, when the next bulletin comes up...to see if the movement was temporary.....

i am guessing that EB3-india movement will not be much after this movement...since too many people are in the queue and they eb3-india is limited to around 1400 primary applicants only...(total around 2800)

but being on H1 i prefer to be in a consulting job...unless your employer is not good....that way you can work with different clients being with same employer (gc sponsor)..

but of course it only applies to people who have hot skills and can get a new project within 2-3 weeks...otherwise perm position is preferable..
