FTJ Process

My friend got married in December of 2003. He is sept 2002 filer. His I-485 got approved in Jan-2004 before applying I-485 for his wife. Now he has to use FTJ. My question is for FTJ is required to go to consulate? Since she is here in US can she complete FTJ here only?

How does FTJ works and what are forms he needs to fill up? Please let us know.

No need for FTJ

I don't think you have to file FTJ if the spouse is already in the USA in a valid status before approval of I485. You can still file I485 for the spouse based on the primary derivatives GC. Please check and confirm with a lawer and don't take my views as it is.
