The whole purpose of the AP is to issue a permit for people to travel since 485 tooks a long period of time and there should be an option for them to travel and come back.
But right now AP is taking 6 months and for concurrent filers even more than that.
May be BCIS should consider issuing another type of permit for travel for people who are waiting for Adavance parole, like AAP(Advanced Advanced Parole) because after some time AP processing might take one year or more and people might need something interim to travel during this wait period.
Hey!! they can make some more money out of it right? Process one more application while we wait.
I am writing this out of my frustration, they can process EAD and AP for the thousands and thousands of filers 3 times and do FP twice for many, but they can not approve the 485 in time. Looks to me that the issue is not whether they can do it in time, rather it is whether they want to do it in time.
