From VSC to TSC??

Hi, I-485ers:

I submitted my I-485 to VSC in May 2002. I will move to Florida which is under TSC (shamely and sadly) in April 2003. I will write INS about my address change.

Do you believe VSC will transfer my I-485 file to TSC or a local Florida office? Trillions Thanks.
 
Depending upon

Reason to move. Did you change company and moved to a new company in Florida or still with original company and got trasferred.
If it is later than there is 90% chance your case WON'T be transferred, otherwise there is a very good probability of your case getting transferred

A new job in Florida. Want to know VSC transfers 485 files to a local office or to TSC?

If I do not file an address change, what is the disadvantages?

Is this common to transfer I-485 files from one Service Center to another Service Center (or a local office) when you move to a new place?

Any thoughts or experiences are welcome heartly.
 
You are required to

file an address change. I think it generally gets transferred to local office....not certain though

I filed for my GC when i was in MI,
later, filed I485 when i was in MA.
Now my i485 is approved, when iam in FL.
(NO RFE)

I had informed all my address changes to the INS.

I guess, you will not have any problems. GOOD LUCK.

Is your I-485 approved by VSC when you are in Florida?

Your I-485 file is not transfered to TSC (or a local Florida office) even though you moved to Florida after you filed your 485 with VSC. That is my understanding. Am I right?

YES, my I485 was approved by VSC (on 3/17/2003).
It never got transfered (even after i updated my address change to the INS)
Iam living in Florida (from feb 2002) .
