From NVC to Mumbai Consulate !!

Hello Everyone: :) My immigration case is being processed at the NVC. I am very near to the last stage of getting the visa. Eagerly waiting for my case to be transferred to Mumbai consulate. Everyone whose cases are being processed with the NVC are invited to share their stories..
 
To all the members who have their CP

I would like to know the duration which the NVC takes to transfer the case to the local consulate after the sponsor has submitted the 'Affidavit of support' forms to the NVC. My visa category is f4.
 
i'm in same boat guys. NVC is reviewing my Affidavit support form so i'm waiting for case to transfer at mumbai.

NVC review..

Has anyone (from the Family categories) received case transfer letters from the NVC ? please post the dates when the case moved into the NVC and got transferred to the local consulate, so that we can get an idea the number of days the NVC takes to review the I-864. Usually they tell you 6 - 8 weeks..
 
If you check cptracker.com site you will realize that it takes about 2-3 months from the time NVC receives your completed packet 3, to get the interview at a consulate in India. Generally 2 months but in some cases it may take 3 months. But, once NVC has transferred case to a consulate in India, 2 weeks later you can send an email to that consulate with your NVC case number requesting interview date and they are generally good about replying to emails!
