Hi everybody,
Please give me some advise.
I have come to US on F-1 visa 3 years back. Succefully graduated and later got married. My husband, employee at the university, at that time was J-1 visa holder, therefore I had to change my visa status to J-2. Now, in May 2005 he will be receiving his H-1 visa status and I, relatively, H-4.
The problem is that i have been accepted for graduate studies and offered Teacher Assistanship with tuition remission. Unfortunately, being on H-4 visa status will not allow me to accept TA position, therefore I want to apply for change of visa status back to F-1.
1)Do you think there might be denial in my case just because I had to change my visa statuses often?
2)Do I have to prove that I am going to go back to my native country after I finish my MS?(it would be ridiculous taking into consideration that my family is here in US and my son is US born )
3)How long would it normally take to transfer from H-4 to F-1 visa status?
I appreciate your help.
